Six of Crows: Action and Call to Action through YA Fiction
Analyzing Leigh Bardugo's Six of Crows through a gothic and psychoanalytical lens, but also considering the popular culture theory. A paper I wrote and presented at Seattle University's Undergraduate Research Association Conference 2018.
To argue this thesis, this paper will analyze three elements of Six of Crows [...] First, the subject of death in this plot, its impact, and motivation for characters; second, the use of magic and “witches” in this context; third, the reinterpretation of the meaning of ghosts as self-reflection.
