". . . Three that I can see
through eyes that lie to comfort
hearts that beat off tune;

Three that I can sense
through veins that cry for freedom
hiding from its doom."

Prologue

A separate introductory section of a literary or musical work. /

An event or action that leads to another event or situation.

The Artist:

I've titled this section "Prologue" because I was thinking of it as a beginning when we introduced ourselves, at that job interview, when we shared words. While a novel tends to only have one prologue, we experience thousands of them every day. We are an infinity of simultaneous stories. We are pages and songs and quotes time might never forget. Regardless of purpose and genre, everything I've written is a story in some way, so here's a little bit of everything. This is my Writing Portfolio.
